Job summary

Washington State University seeks a career-track Shelter Medicine and Surgery faculty member to teach DVM students in a Seattle Humane partnership. The role focuses on clinical rotations, including exams, spay/neuter, dentistry, and general practice in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• DVM degree or foreign equivalent (BVSc) and shelter medicine experience.
• Proficient in general medicine, surgery and dentistry.
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities.
• Preferred: specialty training in shelter medicine.

Responsibilities

• Case management, student mentorship and evaluation.
• Supervision of support staff and coordination of clinical teaching.
• Rotation coordination with SHS and interactions with WSU faculty.
• Opportunities for didactic teaching, scholarly activity and service.
