Job summary

San Diego Humane Society is seeking a Shelter Medicine Associate for our San Diego Campus. This role focuses on supporting the Community Cat Program and Medical department, handling administrative tasks, animal handling, scheduling, and patient check-in/out with a customer-service mindset.

The position offers full-time/part-time/temporary options, a 4/10 schedule, and competitive hourly pay. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service/guest relations experience required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and insurable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Cat Program with paperwork, scheduling, check-ins and discharges.
• Assist shelter programs (foster, CSN, post-adopts, SNIPs) and coordinate with medical team.
• Provide exemplary customer service and de-escalate guest concerns.
• Process vouchers for veterinary assistance, transport and spay/neuter.
