Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Oregon is seeking a production operator to support shell removal and cleaning lines. The role requires rotating through knock-out, gritblast, waterblast, shotblast and chemical bath processes to maintain efficient product flow and throughput.

The shift runs Monday through Friday, 1:30pm to 9:30pm. You will monitor equipment, maintain safety practices, perform basic maintenance, and assist with logs and records as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to rotate through all cleaning/shell removal processes.
• Cleaning and blasting skills; working knowledge of blasting machines; understanding of parts and gating systems.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for safe work practices.
• Verify lot and part identification.
• Move and deliver parts to other cleaning operations.
• Train other operators in job accountabilities.
• Knockout process: remove shell material, insulation, and wires; use torches as needed.
• Gritblast: ensure even removal of shell materials; monitor timing.
• Waterblast: clean parts and visually inspect for foreign materials.
• Shotblast: operate cabinets; inspect cleanliness; mark defects.
• Leach tank/Chemical bath: prepare baths, sample, monitor temperatures, rinse parts.
