Job summary

Bilfinger is seeking a skilled pipefitter to support on-site pipe installation and fabrication tasks in the United States. You will interpret drawings, cut, assemble, and install piping systems while ensuring adherence to safety standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities include aligning spools, threading, welding where required, and performing quality checks with measuring tools. You will work with power tools and coordinate with customers, contributing to project success and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in pipe fabrication and installation per drawings.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and in compliance with safety policies.
• Capable of reading and interpreting basic piping drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Plan the sequence of pipe installation to avoid interference with obstructions and other disciplines.
• Cut pipe using band saws, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
• Align pipe spools using come-a-longs, tuggers and other rigging tools.
• Thread pipe using threading machine or hand threaders.
• Assemble and install variety of metal pipe fittings, including those made of stainless steel, CUNI, and carbon steel.
• Join piping by means of threaded and welded connections.
• Use all required measuring tools to confirm that pipe is fabricated as per drawings.
• Secure pipes to structural supports with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
• Assist with pressure testing of lines as per client specifications and governing code.
• Operate various power tools in accordance with company safety policies.
• Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Adjust to work-related demands.
• Demonstrate willingness for continuous self-improvement.
• Demonstrate conscientiousness and dependability to produce quality results.
• Recognize company goals and maintain safety culture.
• Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers.
