Job summary

Leola Construction is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Project Manager to oversee field crews and subcontractors across multiple commercial sites in Hillsborough County, FL. The role drives project success through disciplined scheduling, quality control, and strong client relations.

The ideal candidate has 4 years of PM/field superintendent experience or a related 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Business, with hands-on knowledge of slab, masonry, and framing

Qualifications

4 years of experience as a Field Superintendent or Project Manager, or a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Business.
Proven track record managing ground-up commercial construction projects such as car washes, storage facilities, gas stations, or similar builds.
Hands-on experience with concrete slab and foundation work, masonry, and structural framing.
Ability to direct Field Superintendents and subcontractors while managing multiple project scopes.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability to jobsite challenges.
Experience with construction management software such as AppWright, SupplyPro, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Manage Subcontractors & Crews: direct concrete, masonry, and framing subcontractors and internal field crews across multiple sites, ensuring quality and safety.
Own the Structural Shell: oversee shell sequence from foundations to framing on ground-up commercial builds.
Schedule & Sequence the Trades: maintain master schedule, milestones, and hand-offs to minimize downtime.
Florida Code & Inspections: ensure compliance with Florida Building Code and coordinate with inspectors.
Quality Assurance: inspect work to meet tolerances and project specs.
Client & Engineer Liaison: coordinate with clients, engineers, and vendors to resolve RFIs and change orders.
Material & Resource Logistics: manage deliveries, inventory, and equipment scheduling.
Administrative Reporting: communicate project status and changes to the main office.
