Job summary

Danos in Lafayette, LA seeks an Offshore Shelf Operator to start up, operate, monitor and shut down process and utility systems on an offshore facility. The role ensures that process parameters are maintained within operating requirements, samples are taken and acted upon, and troubleshooting is performed to optimize sales quality and delivery volume.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of offshore experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid Permit to Work (PtW).
• Medically fit to offshore international standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temp, pressure).
• Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon.
• Troubleshoot to maximize product quality and delivery volume.
• Maintain discharge water quality within SBMPC or local guidelines.
• Operate electrical/hydraulic control panels and safety devices; oversee Fire and Gas Systems.
• Submit accurate production reporting daily or as required.
• Witness third-party calibrations to verify meters and volumes.
• Carry out all offshore operations safely and environmentally soundly.
• Coordinate logistics for the facility and manage vendor/subcontractor activities.
• Handle chemical treating and isolation operations as required.
• Comply with PTW system, Toolbox Talks, and risk assessments.
• Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant and equipment.
• Maintain clear communications during maintenance operations.

• Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon.

• Troubleshoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume toidentifyproblems.

• Maintain discharge water quality within current SBMPC or local guidelines.

• Monitor andoperateelectrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems.

• Ensureaccurateproduction reporting issubmitteddaily or as required by the company and client.

• Witness third-party calibrations whenappropriate toprovide verification of meter factors and volumes.

• Prove export oil meters.

• Carry out all operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Operate offshore production facilityin accordance withcustomer requirements.

• Test, calibrate,maintain, and inspect equipment.

• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.

• Coordinatelogisticsfor the facility.
