Danos, LLC is seeking a Shelf Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore facilities in Louisiana. The role involves operating offshore production equipment, testing and calibrating gear, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 5+ years of mechanical experience (preferably offshore), and be willing to work a 24/7 callout schedule with daily commuting to the work site. Housing is not provided.

Overview

A Shelf Mechanic is responsible for various mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
• Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, and reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.).
• Utilize computer knowledge for maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with subsea equipment.
• Maintain platform organization.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
• Safety-oriented with a focus on compliance.
• Create policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats.
• Apply technical mechanical skills for maintenance tasks.
