We are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Programmer/Estimator to join our fabrication team. This role combines technical CNC programming expertise with cost estimating to deliver high‑quality products on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming & Process Optimization
  • Create and optimize CNC programs for laser, punching, press brake, and sheet metal equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
  • Select tooling, materials, and processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Design manufacturing fixtures as needed
  • Establish routings according to TRUMPF standards
  • Collaborate with production team to troubleshoot and improve processes
Quoting & Estimating
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material, labor, and machine time
  • Review customer drawings to determine manufacturing requirements
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers for material and service pricing
  • Support sales team with timely, competitive quotes
Quality & Compliance
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, First Article Inspections (FAI), and Certificates of Conformance
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
  • Track and document non‑conformances and corrective actions
  • Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Shipping & Logistics
  • Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods
  • Prepare packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation
  • Schedule carrier pickups and ensure on‑time delivery
  • Verify order accuracy before shipment
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience with CNC programming for sheet metal fabrication
  • Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal processes and materials
  • Familiarity with TRUMPF equipment and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
