Department: Department of Homeland Security

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, USCG, Yard, Industrial Department, Structural Group in Baltimore, MD.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead a group of employees in the sheetmetal shop and oversee the sheetmetal layout mechanic and assistant. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

Keeping an accurate and orderly filing system of the programs that has been generated on the computer so that they can be accessed in your absence.
Operatoring must zero the machine to the home zero on the X and Y axis and purge the Plasma System before each start-up of actual burning procedure to eliminate damage to the torch assembly and Plasma System.
Unloading the cutting table, palletizing cut out pieces to be fabricated and removes all scrap. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
