Job summary

Bahnson Mechanical Systems, part of EMCOR Group, is hiring a Sheetmetal Foreman in Winston-Salem, NC. The candidate will lead commercial sheetmetal installations, read blueprints, and coordinate with project leaders to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.

Ideal applicants bring 5+ years of sheetmetal experience, 3+ years of team leadership, and strong knowledge of mechanical and refrigeration systems. A valid driver's license and safety-minded approach are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial sheetmetal experience.
• 3+ years of leading construction teams.
• Experience supervising and performing installation of sheet metal, duct systems, piping systems, and refrigeration projects.
• Experience with mechanical, refrigeration, steam, and condensate systems.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Experience with electrical and manual tools.
• Experience operating safety equipment and safe construction practices.
• Experience leading in a high-safety, high-quality team environment.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate installations on commercial job sites, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specs to guide installation.
• Review models/BIM drawings using 2-D/3-D modeling software.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Project Managers to meet timelines and budget goals.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• List materials and equipment; manage tools and safety gear on site.
• Lead, supervise, train and support crew members on projects.
• Monitor jobsite safety and report violations to safety supervisor.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Bahnson Mechanical Systems is seeking a Sheetmetal Foreman who will have extensive commercial experience to lead our team on various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in sheet metal work, be proficient in reading reading blueprints, and have the leadership skills necessary to guide to team effectively.

Key Duties:

• Oversee and coordinate installations on commercial job sites, ensuring projects meet company quality and safety standards

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to guide installation procedure.

• Utilize 2-D and 3-D modeling software to review and understand models/BIM drawings.

• Collaborate closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure timelines and budget goals are met.

• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet industry and company standards.

• Compile lists of material, equipment needed and maintain assigned tools and issue safety equipment for job site

• Lead, Supervise, train and support crew members on projects as required while maintaining high productivity and morale.

• Monitor jobsite to ensure a safe work environment and report any safety violations to safety supervisor

• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial Sheetmetal experience

• 3+ years of leading construction teams

• Experience with supervising and performing installation of sheet metal, duct systems, piping systems, and refrigeration projects

• Experience with the following systems: mechanical, refrigeration, steam, and condensate

• Must have a valid driver's license with insurable driving record

• Previous use of electrical and manual tools required.

• Experience operating safety equipment and use of safe construction work habits.

• Experience leading and working in a team environment with high safety and quality standards.

• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance

• Strong mechanical aptitude with openness and ability to learn.

• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
