Job summary

Upchurch is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead field crews on commercial new construction projects. This hands-on role supervises installation activities, ensures safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years' sheet metal experience, prior foreman or lead supervision, strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork, blueprints, and codes, plus proven leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sheet metal experience in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to lead crews and coordinate work to meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork installation, blueprints, and applicable codes.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside sheet metal crews on commercial construction projects.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to maintain productivity.
• Enforce Upchurch safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Inspect work for quality, code compliance, and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate with project leadership and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Maintain daily logs, production reports, and time‑keeping records.
• Mentor apprentices and support the development of crew members.

Position Summary

Upchurch is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead field crews on commercial new construction projects. This hands‑on role is responsible for supervising sheet metal installation activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating daily work, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. The Foreman will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades to successfully deliver projects.
