Comfort Systems USA, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Apprentice I - Sheetmetal to support the safe installation of HVAC ductwork and related components on commercial projects.

You will work under a Foreman and skilled professionals to build technical knowledge and quality habits. Preferred candidates may enroll in or have completed a recognized trade apprenticeship; no prior trade experience is required.

Qualifications

• No prior trade experience is required.
• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to read a tape measure, perform basic construction math, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable attendance and transportation to assigned jobsites or the designated reporting location.
• Ability to complete required safety orientation and work cooperatively under direct supervision.

Responsabilités

• Assist journeymen with lay out, fabricate, assemble, hang, seal, and install ductwork and sheet-metal components from drawings and specifications.
• Read basic drawings, labels, measurements, and work instructions; ask questions when requirements are unclear.
• Stage, inventory, protect, and move materials and tools so assigned work areas remain productive.
• Use and maintain snips, shears, brakes, rollers, drills, lifts, hand tools, and power tools only after training and authorization.
• Complete assigned apprenticeship, safety, and skills training and accurately report work hours when required.
• Inspect work areas for hazards, follow the project safety plan, and use required personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area and protect completed work, equipment, and customer property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
