Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Sheeter Operator I in Batavia, IL. You will support sheeting operations by preparing materials, assisting with machine setup, and ensuring smooth production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a strong sense of urgency, and teamwork; English literacy is essential. Shift is 2pm–12am Monday–Thursday, with a pay rate of $21.15 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Able to read and follow standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with make-ready and setup of the sheeter
• Prepare rolls for production, including staging, loading, and threading through tension rollers
• Inspect rolls prior to sheeting and report non-conforming materials
• Stage completed loads for the printing operation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including completion of sweep sheets
• Follow all safety and operational procedures
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Location: Batavia, IL

Shift: 2pm-12am (Monday - Thursday)

Pay Rate: $21.15

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with make-ready and setup of the sheeter
• Prepare rolls for production, including staging, loading, and threading through tension rollers
• Inspect rolls prior to sheeting and report non-conforming materials to Quality
• Stage completed loads for the printing operation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including completion of sweep sheets
• Follow all safety and operational procedures
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

We’d Love to Hear From You If

• You can speak, read, and write in English
• You have 2+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
• You have a strong sense of urgency and are self-motivated
• You have mechanical aptitude
• You have solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
• You work well in a team environment
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Candidates who demonstrate the necessary manufacturing experience and the required literacy, numeracy, and technical skills will be considered regardless of educational background.
