Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Sheeter Operator I for the Batavia, Illinois facility. The role supports sheeting operations by preparing materials, assisting with machine setup, and ensuring smooth production flow in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with make-ready, prepare rolls for production, inspect materials, and stage loads for the printing operation. A strong sense of urgency and team collaboration are valued traits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and handiwork.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with make-ready and setup of the sheeter.
• Prepare rolls for production, including staging, loading, threading through tension rollers.
• Inspect rolls prior to sheeting and report non-conforming materials to Quality.
• Stage completed loads for the printing operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including completion of sweep sheets.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Position: Sheeter Operator I Location: Batavia, IL Shift: 2pm-12am (Monday - Thursday) Pay Rate: $21.15 Summary Description The Sheeter Operator I supports sheeting operations by preparing materials, assisting with machine setup, and ensuring smooth production flow. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards and supporting downstream printing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with make-ready and setup of the sheeter
• Prepare rolls for production, including staging, loading, and threading through tension rollers
• Inspect rolls prior to sheeting and report non-conforming materials to Quality
• Stage completed loads for the printing operation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including completion of sweep sheets
• Follow all safety and operational procedures
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

We’d Love to Hear From You

• If you can speak, read, and write in English
• You have 2+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
• You have a strong sense of urgency and are self-motivated
• You have mechanical aptitude
• You have solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
• You work well in a team environment
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
