Job summary

Lakeside Book Company seeks a Material Handler / Sheeting Helper at our Terre Haute facility. You will help keep production moving by preparing rolls, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and packaging products for the pressroom.

Requires basic math, reading, and measurement skills, plus attention to detail and teamwork. Day shift runs 7am–3pm, Monday–Friday, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 45–70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a pallet jack.
• Standing/walking for 12-hour shifts in varying conditions.
• Basic math, reading, and measurement skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain rolls for machines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment.
• Package and stage products for the pressroom.
• Assist operators as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; prepare recyclable waste for transport.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Starting Pay: $18.45 - 18.95/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential)

What You’ll Do:

As a Material Handler / Sheeting Helper , you’ll keep our production moving by:

Preparing and maintaining rolls for machines

Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment

Packaging and staging products for the pressroom

Assisting operators as needed

Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe Preparing recyclable waste for transport

Following all safety policies and procedures

What It Takes:

Ability to lift 45–70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a manual pallet jack

Comfortable standing/walking for 12-hour shifts in varying conditions

Basic math, reading, and measurement skills

Attention to detail, organization, and teamwork

Preferred : High school diploma or equivalent + 6–12 months of forklift/pallet jack experience
