Job summary

Walsworth in Marceline, MO is seeking a Sheetfed Press - Assistant to support the Pressroom team on a four-color press. You will assist the Pressman with setup, operation, and maintenance to produce printed materials during the night shift.

Responsibilities include plate registration, adjusting feeders and pile height, resolving misfeeds and jams, and following job tickets. A high school diploma is required and physical duties involve lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly with coworkers and management.
• Must lift a minimum of 40 lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to do simple math, differentiate color, and read.
• Required to learn how to operate a press.
• Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and general mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Hang and position plates for color registration.
• Fill water fountain with proper chemical mixture.
• Adjust feeder guides, grippers and pile height.
• Correct machine malfunctions such as misfeeds and jams.
• Pack plates and blankets to secure pressures.
• Follow job tickets instructions.
• All other duties as assigned.
