Job summary

Walsworth in Marceline, MO is seeking a Sheetfed Press - Assistant to support the Pressman in the setup, operation and maintenance of a four-color press to produce printed materials.

You will assist with plate handling, color registration, ink fountain maintenance and paper delivery, while following job tickets and safety rules. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, good math and reading skills, and the ability to learn how to operate the press and troubleshoot basic issues.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with coworkers and management.
• Able to lift 40lbs repetitively.
• Able to perform simple math, differentiate color and read.
• Willing to learn how to operate a press.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Hangs and positions plates to secure color registration between colors.
• Fill water fountain with proper chemical mixture.
• Adjust feeder guides, grippers and pile height for proper paper delivery.
• Correct machine malfunctions such as misfeeds, misregisters, paper jams, etc.
• Pack plates and blankets to secure proper pressures.
• Follow instructions on job tickets.
• All other duties as assigned.
