Job summary

New Castle Metal in Bensalem, PA is seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Technician to operate CNC folding and shearing equipment and to solder and work with various metals for high-quality architectural sheet metal production. Experience is helpful, but training is available for motivated learners.

You will join a collaborative, growth-oriented team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for advancement and a focus on safety and teamwork. Training and development are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating computerized metal folding and shearing equipment preferred.
• Soldering and working with various metals with precision is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with attention to detail and workmanship pride.
• Strong customer service mindset and effective communication.
• Basic math and ability to read technical drawings a plus.
• Experience in architectural, construction, or design industries preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC folding and shearing machines to fabricate light gauge architectural sheet metal components.
• Solder and work with various metals with precision and care.
• Maintain and monitor equipment for optimal performance and quality.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to unload deliveries and manage material handling via forklift.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
• Flexibly support additional tasks to meet team goals.

• Basic mathematical skills required; ability to take accurate measurements and read technical drawings is a plus.
• Previous experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry preferred.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training is available.
