Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking a skilled tradesperson to install and repair a variety of roofs and sheetmetal components across district facilities. You will layout, fabricate, install, and service roofing systems and metal fixtures on multiple campuses.

This role supports safety, building maintenance, and infrastructure projects, collaborates with facilities teams, and responds to emergencies. On-site, non-exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsabilités

• Installs and repairs roofs such as tile, slate, shingle, EDPM, modified bitimous or built-up roofs.
• Fabricates, adjusts, repairs and installs metal heating and ventilating components and related sheetmetal parts.
• Layout, installs, and repairs sheetmetal products such as partitions, gutters, fascias, and canopies.
• Installs or repairs equipment such as exhaust fans, vents, and chimneys components.
• Installs and repairs gym equipment such as basketball goals and playground equipment.
• Repairs mechanical parts of gym bleachers and seating.
• Hazardous material response.
• Animal control - live and dead.
• Installs and repair auditorium seating and interior/exterior signs.
• Inspects and repairs handicap equipment.
• Repairs metal supports for chimneys and shelving.
• 1st response on smoke and fumes in buildings.
