Job summary

Mum Industries is seeking an Experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Mentor, OH. You will perform incoming and in-process inspections, read drawings, and verify conformance using gages and fixtures.

You will help control nonconforming material and support problem resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates have sheet metal experience, basic math and GD&T literacy, plus proficiency with measuring tools and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with measuring/test equipment.
• Strong math skills.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection/testing using gages, micrometers, calipers and fixtures.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Support nonconforming product control and disposition.
• Assist with problem identification, investigation and resolution.
• Perform incoming inspection for raw material and outside processing.
• Maintain records per QMS requirements.
• Perform product audit production/inspection records.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: MUM Metals OH - Mentor, OH 44060, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Manufacturing, Become a success story in our Quality dept.

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Pay is based on experience $20.00/HR-$25.00/HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform inspection/testing (e.g. First Articles, customer returns, incoming inspection, supplier issues) using gages including; micrometers, calipers, height gages and various other gages/fixtures)
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Support the Control of Nonconforming Product process by ensuring appropriate segregation, identification and disposition of such product.
• Assist with problem identification, investigation and resolution.
• Perform incoming inspection for raw material and outside processing product.
• Maintain records per Quality Management System requirements.
• Perform product audit production/inspection records.
• Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with sheet metal.
• Basic math skills
• Blueprint reading / GD&T
• Ability to use measuring and test equipment
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel)
• Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
