Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic I to join our field teams in the United States. You will assemble sheet metal, set roof curbs, install mechanical equipment and other HVAC components, traveling to multiple construction sites as needed.

Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of commercial sheet metal duct experience, a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 10 certification, and a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and reliable transportation for job-site access.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of commercial sheet metal duct experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred. The role requires safety-conscious workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Determine the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete the job.
• Must know industry relevant building codes and regulations for the installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems.
• Measure, cut and bend mechanical material.
• Must be on jobsite at required time.
• Attend all safety meetings.
• Follow instruction given by on-site leadership.
• Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.

Sheet Metal Mechanic I is responsible for assembling sheet metal, setting roof curbs, installing Mechanical equipment, as well as other HVAC related items.

Travel as needed is required.

• Reliable transportation and ability to meet job-site access requirements.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• At least 4 plus years of commercial sheet metal duct experience.

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
