Job summary

CT Mechanical is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team in Gainesville, FL. You will assemble and install sheet metal products and duct systems, reading blueprints and ensuring alignment with specifications.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in sheet metal and duct work on commercial or industrial sites, with the ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors for an 8-hour shift. OSHA 10 is preferred and a valid driver's license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 3 years of experience in sheet metal and duct work on commercial or industrial job sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and work an 8-hour shift outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license to commute to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Determine layout of systems and read blueprints to plan installations.
• Install and assemble sheet metal, ducts, and related components.
• Set hangers and curbs, install VAV boxes, and perform light fabrication.
• Operate metalworking equipment to cut, punch, drill, shape, or finish sheet metal.
• Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
