Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic to install sheet metal components for HVAC systems on commercial projects in Virginia and surrounding areas. Projects include K-12, university, and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, fabricating and installing ductwork, and mentoring helpers and apprentices on site. A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required; the role emphasizes teamwork and safety on every job.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication for HVAC in commercial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work in teams.
• Must hold valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

The Role

The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for installation of sheet metal components for HVAC systems that bring our projects to life. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.

What You'll Do

• Knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation of HVAC components in commercial construction environments
• Ability to set and hook up equipment
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.
• Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
