Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Charlottesville and surrounding areas is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to install HVAC systems on commercial projects.

You will fabricate and install sheet metal components, read and interpret construction drawings, and mentor helpers and apprentices while upholding safety standards on K-12, university, and healthcare facilities across Virginia and North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and HVAC installs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

The Role

The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for installation of sheet metal components for HVAC systems that bring our projects to life. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.

What You'll Do

• Knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation of HVAC components in commercial construction environments
• Ability to set and hook up equipment
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.

• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
