Position Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring skilled Sheet Metal Machine Operators to join our team in High Ridge, Missouri. This second-shift role is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and installation of sheet metal parts and assemblies. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
  • Operate machinery including press brakes, spot welders, lasers, and punch presses
  • Interpret blueprints and technical documents to ensure precise fabrication
  • Use shop mathematics to calculate angles, curves, and layout patterns
  • Perform repairs and modifications on a variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and composites
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities including 5S/6S and LEAN initiatives
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, PPE usage, and equipment operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with company policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
  • Prior experience with metal fabrication equipment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with different metals and composite materials a plus
  • Must be willing to work 2nd shift and commit to safety-first work practices
