Job summary

InterMetro Industries Corporation is seeking full-time Operators for their Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities include operating press brake machinery, reading blueprints, and meeting performance standards.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preference for those having prior experience in metal forming or manufacturing environments. Successful completion of screening and probationary periods are required.

Job description

We are seeking full-time Operators for our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Positions are available on our 2nd (3:00 - 11:00 p.m.) and 3rd (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) shifts. Associates in these positions support the manufacture of cabinets or other products by preparing sheet metal stock for application to finished product. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality. Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates press brake machinery
• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Utilizes precision measuring equipment
• Operates auxiliary equipment as assigned
• Meets performance and quality standards
• Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
• Regular attendance is required

Note: This job may not be limited to the operation of a press brake. Other duties, including operation of other machinery in the Fabrication work‑center, will be assigned as needed.
