Job summary

Feldkamp Enterprises is seeking a Sheet Metal Laborer to support HVAC ductwork installation across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area. You will work under Commercial Sheet Metal Journeymen, assist apprentices, and help prepare layouts while improving jobsite organization.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience, can read blueprints, handle power tools safely, and lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time role with benefits and room to grow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and layouts.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work safely and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of HVAC ductwork, hangers, fittings, supports, and equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with layouts, prep jobsite and install prefabricated ductwork.
• Learn and understand the basics of commercial sheet metal/HVAC and read blueprints.

Job description

This job does require travelling across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area (sites will vary based on the job)

General Description:

The Sheet Metal Laborer is directly responsible for working on jobsites assigned by their Project Manager. They will be required to work directly under the Commercial Sheet Metal Journeymen and provide support to Sheet Metal Apprentices. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Assist with installation of HVAC ductwork, hangers, fittings, supports, and equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with layouts prep jobsite and install prefabricated ductwork.
• Learn and understand the basics of commercial sheet metal/HVAC.
• Learn and understand how to read blueprints and layouts.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience.
• Understand and use hand tools (tape measure, pipe wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.)
• Be able and willing to handle power tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner to all levels inside and outside the company.
• Operate in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements (wear proper PPE, keep worksite organized, safe, and free of hazards).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
