Job summary

Feldkamp Enterprises, a Marsden Holding Company, is a Cincinnati-based non-union mechanical contractor. This Plumbing Laborer role supports project managers and journeymen on commercial plumbing sites across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area.

You will load and organize tools, assist with installing pipe supports, read blueprints, and learn basic plumbing while ensuring safety and compliance. Travel will be required; full-time benefits including 401(k) are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or plumbing experience.
• Familiar with hand tools (tape measure, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers).
• Able to operate power tools safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Commit to safe work practices and PPE usage.
• Must be 18 or older and able to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with installation of plumbing systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize plumbing tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with installing pipe supports, hangers, sleeves, and other plumbing components.
• Learn basics of commercial plumbing and how to read blueprints/layouts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

This job does require travelling across the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area (sites will vary based on the job)

General Description:

The Plumbing Laborer is directly responsible for working on jobsites assigned by their Project Manager. They will be required to work directly under the Commercial Plumbing Journeymen and provide support to Plumbing Apprentices. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Assist plumbers with installation of plumbing systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize plumbing tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with installing pipe supports, hangers, sleeves, and other plumbing components.
• Learn and understand the basics of commercial plumbing.
• Learn and understand how to read blueprints and layouts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of construction or plumbing experience.
• Have an understanding of hand tools (tape measure, pipe wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.)
• Be able and willing to handle power tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner to all levels inside and outside the company.
• Operate in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements (wear proper PPE, keep worksite organized, safe, and free of hazards).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
