Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. seeks a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to determine installation sequences from plans, perform field take-offs, and assemble duct work for HVAC systems in schools, commercial and industrial buildings.

The role requires reading blueprints, SMACNA knowledge, squarely reading plans, and physical work including climbing ladders and working outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of SMACNA requirements and local codes.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic competence in sheet metal mathematics.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, lifts, and scaffolds; and stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others.
• Neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is a largely a physically active role. Sheet Metal Mechanics will regularly push and pull loads, climb, crouch, and maneuver around obstacles.

Work Environment

This job operates in a field and shop environment. Must be able to withstand wide temperature variations as a portion of the work is outside. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
