Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Foreman to lead ductwork projects and supervise installation efforts on-site in Chandler, AZ. The role emphasizes planning, coordination with trades, and ensuring adherence to SMACNA standards and safety policies.

The candidate will oversee material ordering, fabrication, and quality checks, while directing daily and weekly installation goals and maintaining project timelines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of commercial experience in the industry.
• Experience with ductwork types: TDF, Pittsburgh, snap lock, TDC, Duct Mate, 22mm, 35mm, S & D, Spiral, Duct Board Fiberglass, FRP.
• Solid knowledge of local building codes.
• Basic OSHA/ADOSH safety requirements per company policy.
• Familiarity with shop equipment, layout, and fabrication principles.
• Proficiency in duct system layout from blueprints and elevations.

Responsibilities

• Efficient planning and pre-planning, ensuring meticulous execution.
• Oversee duct detailing, order, coordinate, and inspect materials for accuracy to meet timelines.
• Coordinate ductwork with other trades and schedule subcontractors and deliveries.
• Supervise installation of duct, accessories, equipment, and related materials; set daily/weekly goals.
• Conduct daily inspections for quality and safety; enforce standards and code compliance.
• Inspect assemblies to ensure conformance to specs and SMACNA requirements.

• Basic understanding of OSHA and ADOSH safety requirements as outlined in company policy.
• Familiarity with shop equipment and basic shop layout and fabrication principles.
• Proficiency in duct system layout from blueprints and elevation setting.

Key Performance Objectives:

• Efficient planning and pre-planning, ensuring meticulous execution.
• Oversight of the entire duct detailing function, including ordering, coordinating, and inspecting materials for accuracy and completeness to meet project timelines.
• Coordination of ductwork with other trades and scheduling of subcontractors and equipment deliveries.
• Supervision of duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material installation, setting daily and weekly installation goals.
• Conducting daily inspections for installation quality and safety, enforcing quality standards and code compliance.
• Inspecting assemblies and installations to ensure conformance to specifications and SMACNA requirements.
