Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial sheet metal installer.
• Strong experience with HVAC ductwork installation and commercial architectural sheet metal.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with common sheet metal hand and power tools.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and install sheet metal components.
• Knowledge of commercial construction practices and job-site safety.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a crew.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and in varying conditions.
• Physical ability to lift materials and work overhead.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings, dampers, grilles, and related components.
• Install commercial architectural sheet metal systems per plans and specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation plans.
• Measure, lay out, fit, and secure sheet metal and ductwork accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with other trades and project personnel.
• Inspect completed work for fit, appearance, and quality.
• Follow OSHA requirements and safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Identify and communicate installation issues or material needs to supervisors.
• Complete work according to project schedules and quality standards.
