Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. is seeking a Sheet Metal Helper in Creedmoor, TX to support Field Technicians with HVAC and boiler services.

You will assist with cutting sheet metal, ductwork installation, and HVAC equipment setup while following instructions and using hand and power tools. Required is a high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 6 months in HVAC/Mechanical Services, strong communication, and the ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as needed.

Job description

As a Sheet Metal Helper, you will be responsible for assisting Field Technicians with HVAC and Boiler services including cutting sheet metal, installing ductwork, assembling and installing HVAC equipment, steam boilers and pressure valves. Job duties and responsibilities:

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 6 months of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Services industry

• Ability to communicate with internal team and customers

• Ability to use hand and power tools

Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and other repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Work environment:

This job operates primarily on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
