Radius Aerospace—Shelbyville is hiring for a 1st Shift Sheet Metal Handwork Operator. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, with increases based on experience. This entry-level role includes comprehensive training to build your career in sheet metal production for aviation applications.

You will use machine and hand-finishing techniques to blend components to finished parts. Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential to succeed in this fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry level position; training provided.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine and hand finishing techniques.
• Identify and properly use basic pneumatic tools such as drill motors, dotco's and countersink cutters.
• Read and interpret drawings, illustrations, specifications and identify their relevance to manufacturing parts.
• Analyze work orders, specifications, check fixtures and aids to perform handwork or rework to meet quality standards.
• Operate chemical process equipment as required by procedures.
• Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specs.
• May monitor and verify quality using statistical processes.
