Job summary

MUZA Sheet Metal Co is seeking a Construction General Laborer / Pre-Apprentice to join our Milwaukee-area team. No experience required; training and tools are provided, and you will have the opportunity to transition into our Apprenticeship Program.

You will assist journeymen and apprentices in shop and on jobsites, handle material loading, cutting, measurement, and basic fabrication tasks, while focusing on safety, accuracy, and learning the sheet metal trade.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or HSED (required for Apprenticeship).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sheet Metal Journeyman and Apprentices in daily duties in shop and on jobsites.
• Perform specialized tasks with on-the-job training as needed.
• Safely operate heavy and light equipment.
• Assemble and fabricate flashing, panels, and ductwork.
• Measure, cut, and weld pieces according to specs or blueprints.
• Maintain shop and jobsite cleanliness and safety.
