Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Sheet Metal Shop Fabricator in Aurora, CO to transform raw materials into high-quality ductwork and custom components for HVAC installations. You will interpret shop drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and assemble fittings to meet precise specifications.

In a fast-paced, safety-focused shop, you’ll produce code-compliant pieces, master layout, cutting, bending, and fastening, and collaborate with field crews to keep projects on schedule and installations running

Responsibilities

Operate trade-specific machinery to fabricate ductwork and components.
Read and interpret labels and shop orders; select appropriate machine and sequence operations.
Interpret job orders and drawings for fabrication work.
Layout and fabricate parts as required from CAD/FAB guidelines and energy procedures.
Inspect and document product compliance; ensure accuracy of finished pieces.
Handle materials and maintain equipment with proper safety practices.
Maintain time records and production tracking; communicate status to supervisor.
Collaborate with other fabricators to improve skills and output.
Support shop superintendent in training and onboarding new employees.
Assist with production tracking and meeting daily production goals.
