Vigor Marine Group is seeking a skilled sheet metal worker to join our shipyard operations. You will perform welding, duct fabrication, and installation, using blueprints and measurement tools while complying with strict safety standards in a dynamic shipyard environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant shipyard experience, with proficiency in stick and MIG welding and various shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 4 years relevant work experience, preferably in the shipyard.
• Proven skills, work history and/or applicable education will be considered in lieu of work experience.

Responsabilités

• Complies with craft and shipyard safety and environmental measures.
• Removes duct work and related components, rebuilds/reinstalls by welding and fitting.
• Fabricates basic sheet metal projects to industrial customer specifications.
• Reads blueprints and performs basic layout.
• Welds using stick and MIG processes; installs duct work.
• Uses measurement tools; works at heights up to 100 feet.
