Job summary

Lone-Star Roof Systems, LP in College Station, TX is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our shop team. You will fabricate trim, flashing, panels, and related metal components that support our roofing installations across Texas.

This hands-on role requires precision, safe operation of brake presses, seamers, and related equipment, and the ability to read measurements and shop drawings. You’ll coordinate with production and management to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret measurements, diagrams and project specifications with high accuracy.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new techniques.
• Dependable, self-directed and able to manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom metal roofing components including trim, flashing, drip edge, and standing seam panels using brake presses, seamers, and related shop equipment.
• Read and interpret project specifications, measurements, and shop drawings to produce accurate parts.
• Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with Production Team, management, and sales to understand job requirements and prioritize production.
• Stage and organize fabricated materials for pickup and delivery.
• Maintain inventory of sheet metal stock and shop supplies.
