Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Installer in East Baton Rouge Parish. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal for commercial and industrial projects, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and collaborating with the team to complete projects on schedule. Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, full-time with evaluation hire.

Qualifications

Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or installation preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

Fabricate sheet metal components according to drawings, specs, and work orders.
Operate fabrication equipment including shears, brakes, rollers, plasma cutters, and related machinery.
Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
Install ductwork, flashing, trim, specialty sheet metal, and other fabricated components.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project requirements.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Load, transport, and unload materials as needed.
Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and team members to complete projects on schedule.
