We're Hiring: Sheet Metal Fabricator – Level 1 (Apprentice)

Location: Norristown, PA | Pay: $21–$25/hour | Full-Time | Entry-Level

Position Summary:

We’re hiring a Level 1 Sheet Metal Fabricator (Apprentice) who’s eager to learn a skilled trade. Whether you’ve worked with tools before or are just starting out, we’ll train you in layout, welding, machinery, and shop processes. This is a full-time, entry-level position with a clear pathway to higher-level roles.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist senior fabricators and learn core shop functions

• Train on equipment: press brake, shear, layout tools

• Support welding setup, cutting, and material handling

• Read basic work orders and learn from experienced tradespeople
  
  

What You Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license

• Willingness to learn and grow

• Mechanical aptitude and solid work ethic

• Prior manufacturing/shop experience is a plus, not required

Compensation & Benefits:

• $21–$25/hour based on experience

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

This position operates in a fabrication shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery, metalworking tools, airborne particles, heat, and noise associated with fabrication equipment. Proper PPE (personal protective equipment) is provided and required.

Expect to:

• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods

• Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs

• Use hand/power tools and operate shop equipment

• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times
