Job summary

Allegion plc in Irving, TX is seeking a Fabricator for first shift to help fabricate parts and support production of safety and security products. The role requires set-up and operation of sheet metal equipment, welding, and strict adherence to SOPs, with training provided.

The candidate should have fabricating experience (preferred) and the ability to work with minimal supervision, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass background checks. Benefits include health coverage from Day 1 and 401K matching.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of sheet metal working equipment to perform diversified sheet metal fabrication to fairly close tolerances following established methods.
• Welds various types of metals and alloys in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions for high pressure and strength requirements.
• Operates equipment in a safe manner per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Monitor process as items are being produced to ensure quality and accuracy documenting the operations performed.
• Verify all operations have been inspected and completed before moving completed items to next work cell.
• Organize and maintain the work area.
• Maintain all the equipment as instructed by the preventative maintenance documentation.
• Performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
• Some shipping and receiving duties as well.
