Job summary

TOPS Staffing, LLC is partnering with a local HVAC company to recruit Sheet Metal Fabricators for a day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30am–3:30pm. This contract-to-hire role starts at $18–$19 per hour, with potential for a higher rate based on related experience.

Ideal candidates will be able to measure with 1/16 inch precision, read blueprints, and fabricate HVAC ducts using hand and power tools. High school diploma or GED required; AS degree or related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, AS degree preferred.
• 1 year of related work experience or AS degree in related field.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Measure accurately; read tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Selects correct type of sheet metal.
• Use hand and power tools to fabricate sheet metal for HVAC ducts.
• Cut sheet metal by hand or with power tools.
• Bend ducts to form shapes.
• Use scribes, dividers and squares to mark dimensions on materials.
• Seal joints on ductwork with tape.
• Warehousing duties including material handling, loading and unloading.
