ColonialWebb Contractors Company in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products including ductwork and fire dampers. Qualifications
Strong sheet metal industry experience and knowledge.
Knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC), SMACNA and OSHA safety regulations.
Ability to work from drawings, submittals, and specifications.
Knowledge of basic construction/shop math.
Ability to work skillfully and safely with hands.
Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including unscheduled overtime.
Responsibilities
Safely operate sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Select gauge and type of sheet metal for fabrication.
Locate and mark dimensions per plans and specifications.
Layout, form up, and assemble custom fittings.
Assemble duct fittings according to specifications.
Install and fasten internal duct liner into ducts.
Set up and operate welding equipment to join parts.
Skills
Strong sheet metal industry experience and knowledge
Knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC)
