Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Sheet Metal Helper to assist Mechanics in fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products such as ductwork and diffusers. The role is based at our Richmond, VA location with a fabrication shop environment and hours 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include operating fabrication equipment, selecting appropriate sheet metal, marking dimensions, shaping parts, soldering/welding assemblies, and ensuring smooth seams according to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow specifications.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a shop environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Select gauge and type of sheet metal.
• Mark dimensions on metal sheets.
• Shape metal using hammers and forms.
• Join parts with soldering and welding.
