Job summary
Accelera Staffing seeks a Sheet Metal Engineering expert in Hauppauge, NY for a full-time role within our Fabrication & Manufacturing division. You will drive process efficiency and programming for press brakes, turret punches, and laser cutters while partnering with quality, production, and engineering teams to translate complex designs into high-precision parts.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in sheet metal programming, proficiency with SolidWorks and AMADA CAD/CAM tools (AP100/AP100US,
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of sheet metal fabrication programming experience.
- Expertise in SolidWorks and AMADA CAD/CAM tools (AP100/AP100US, SheetWorks, Dr.ABE Bend/Blank).
- Knowledge of laser, MIG, and TIG welding and material tolerances.
- Experience with nesting software to maximize material usage and reduce waste.
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing programs from blueprints using CAD/CAM tools.
- Improve machine setups, tool paths, and nesting to reduce scrap.
- Collaborate with machining staff to resolve technical challenges.
- Support introduction of new products while meeting specs and tolerances.
