Job summary

Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience in sheet metal, preferably in a commercial setting, and a commitment to safety and quality.

The role involves directing Technicians, promoting safety programs, and helping in training. A high school diploma or GED is encouraged but not required. Candidates should be able to work independently and are expected to lead by example.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and lead by example on work projects.
• Safety certifications are encouraged.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of sheet metal

Ability to read blueprints

• Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program and use safe work practices
• Demonstrate and promote Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality and teamwork
• Help in the training and development of Technicians
• Ability and commitment to work product perfection and production within the specific skill set

Experience

At least three years of experience in Sheet Metal, preferably in a commercial application.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge and ability to demonstrate a proficient skill level for sheet metal
• English speaking, bilingual preferred
• Able to read, understand and follow blueprints and construction documents

Abilities/Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to work independently and lead by example on work projects
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbsMust be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
• Must be able to work in elevated locations
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to get to different job locations
• Must be looking for full time employment with a desire to have a long term career with Chamberlin
