Job summary

Stulz in Denton, TX seeks an experienced sheet metal CNC programmer to translate blueprints into Amada-ready programs for laser, punch, and press brake equipment. You will optimize nesting, select tooling, and maintain libraries to ensure first-piece accuracy and efficient production.

Responsibilities include validating materials and finishes, coordinating with planning, and supporting continuous improvement while adhering to ISO quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency with Amada CAM/nesting software or comparable sheet metal nesting software.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and take-off sheets.
• Knowledge of bend allowances, k-factors, and tooling selection for sheet metal.
• Experience with CNC laser cutting, punch/laser, and press brake processes.

Responsibilities

• Translate blueprints and CAD/DXF files into fabrication-ready programs for CNC equipment.
• Program and maintain cut files, nests, and bend sequences; keep tooling/material libraries current.
• Select and assign tooling based on material type, gauge, and geometry.
• Input precise dimensions and bend allowances to ensure first-piece accuracy.
• Execute nesting to maximize material yield and minimize scrap.
• Verify material type and finish before releasing programs to production.
