Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Middlesbrough seeks an experienced SHE Manager to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance on site. The position involves developing improvement plans, monitoring risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have over 5 years in health and safety roles, ideally in manufacturing, and hold a Level 6 qualification. The role offers a salary up to £55K, car allowance, and generous holiday benefits within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably within manufacturing.
• Practical experience applying BS ISO 45001 (OHSMS).
• Desirable: Environmental qualification and experience supporting sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site’s SHE improvement plan.
• Monitor SHE risks, lead audits, and drive performance against KPIs.
• Act as the competent person for all SHE matters, ensuring compliance.
