Job summary

Student Health and Counseling Center Receptionist (Administrative Support Coordinator I)
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary hiring range is $4,047 - $4,211per month (Steps 1 – 3), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is $4,047 to $5,896per month.

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Wellness Services and lead work direction from the Medical Records Supervisor, the Administrative Support Coordinator serves as a key member of the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC), providing exceptional frontline customer service while coordinating the daily clerical and administrative operations that support integrated medical, counseling, and wellness services.

As one of the first points of contact for students, this position plays a critical role in creating a welcoming, professional, and student-centered environment that promotes access to care and supports student success. The position is responsible for managing patient scheduling, maintaining confidential medical records, verifying eligibility and immunization compliance, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, university policies, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Success in this role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, operational excellence, and student-centered care
