Administrative Support Coordinator II
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary hiring range is up to$4,367 - $4,543per month (Steps 1 – 3), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is $4,367 to $6,362per month.

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the chair of the Department of Public Health, this position provides administrative support to the department chair and full-time faculty members, performs ongoing coordination, and provides lead work direction to an ASA support person and student assistants in the Department of Public Health. The Administrative Support Coordinator II is expected to use general office equipment and office support technology and systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, PeopleSoft, and use of other online systems to enter data and generate reports.

  • Provide excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills to serve as front-line for a variety of high-level campus and community individuals with ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to inquiries and requests related to work area.
  • Handle student and staff issues confidentially, with professionalism and discretion.
  • Organize and plan work and projects characterized by widely ranging job demands arriving simultaneously.
  • Organize and independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Education and Experience
  • Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalent.
  • Four years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience.

  • Experience in effectively providing lead direction to others and working in a team environment
