Responsibilities

• Ensures waste types are properly segregated, regulatory shipment windows are met, proper container labeling is adhered to, good housekeeping is maintained, and accurate tracking logs are kept.
• Travel between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Sharps and Pharmaceutical Management Systems.
• Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
• Participates and cooperates in safety process, including following written procedures, attending required training and scheduled meetings.
• Maintains a minimal amount of manifest errors.
• Maintains compliance with applicable environmental, safety and transportation regulations (EPA, OSHA, and DOT).
• Immediately reports any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries or property damage to supervisor.

SUMMARY

The Sharps Tech will support the business, including manual labor associated with on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, and Controlled Substances, and other duties as assigned. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. This is an entry level, non-supervisory position focused on Regulated Medical Waste related projects. Work Schedule: 5 a.m. - 1 p.m.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
• Must have a current, valid driver's license
• Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
